Maximize your 2008 PCMA Annual Meeting ROI with this online networking community. PCMA Connect is an innovative tool that enables you to strategically identify fellow attendees you would like to connect with before, during, and after the event. You will receive more information via email after you register for the Annual Meeting.

PCMA Mentor Program

No matter where you are in your career, having a mentor is a key element to becoming a great leader. Sign up as a Mentor to share your experiences and help others succeed. Or sign up as a Protégé for help with your career advancement. This program requires pre-registration. Please sign up for this when you register.

Hospitality Helping Hands


PCMA’s Hospitality Helping Hands is a chance for you to step out of the convention center and into a Seattle neighborhood to participate in a hands-on, community service project. Note: Pre-registration is required, an additional fee applies, and participation is limited to 120 attendees.


Opening Welcome Reception on Sunday

Experience a sensory trip through the Pacific Northwest Uber Village in plush networking dens designed to provide you with space to meet and reconnect with colleagues while enjoying the best culinary fare and wine and beer selections the region has to offer. Visit the ultra-hip circular bar and high-tech cafe, or take a walk into the Northwest Art Park and finally dive into an interactive "arena" to understand what makes Seattle the destination to be in 2008 and beyond. The party continues at Nordstrom Downtown Seattle! Join us for an after-hours event featuring fabulous desserts, champagne and live entertainment while you shop. Treat yourself to a cosmetic make-over and get a jump on Spring fashion.

  

Evening Networking Reception on Monday

Join your colleagues on Monday for a great evening of networking while tasting Washington State wines, Microbrews and creative cocktails, and nibbling on northwest delicacies that reflect the many ethnicities that make Seattle so unique.

PCMA Chapter Receptions

PCMA Chapters have the opportunity to host their own receptions during the Annual Meeting in Seattle. Be sure to attend the Chapter Receptions and have fun while bonding with those from your Chapter in an informal and relaxed setting. Look for location information on the site in November.

PCMA Fun Run/Walk

Join your fellow attendees bright and early Tuesday morning for a fun run/walk through Seattle. Participation is complimentary. Please sign up on the registration form.

Party With a Purpose on Tuesday

Have a blast while giving back! Join your friends and colleagues on Tuesday from 9:00 p.m. – Midnight for the 15th Annual Party With a Purpose benefiting The Moyer Foundation's Camp Erin, the PCMA Education Foundation and PCMA Network for the Needy®. Purchase your ticket before Nov. 29th to save $15 off the onsite fee. Bulk tickets are also available.

Closing Event on Wednesday

The closing celebration will showcase the very best that Seattle has to offer – Metronatural at its finest. Come walk the edge between fact and fiction, the deconstruction of mainstream. Experience the Northwest you never knew existed, the level beyond the world renown. “Endless possibilities” have been created for you in the colliding worlds of Metro and Natural. Around every corner, a new exciting experience is to be found, combining the usual with the unusual.

One on One — Partners and Planners

Planners: Do you have a conceptual idea for your next meeting that you’d like to explore? Are you in the process of submitting an RFP or selecting a destination, facility or service? With One on One - Partners & Planners, you can discuss these possibilities with a PCMA Partner.

Meet individually with four PCMA Partners of your choice to review your questions, ideas or requests, including RFP’s. They will be available Monday through Wednesday morning to assist you in bringing these possibilities to life!

Passport to Northwest Wines

Did you know that the Northwest region is the nation’s second largest producer of wine? Now is your chance to take a journey through the region’s best wineries with Passport to Northwest Wines. From January 12 – 16, visit seven participating Seattle hotels, where a different, well-known Northwest wine will be featured. A perfect respite from your day, meet and mingle with fellow PCMA members, while sampling varietals such as syrah, sauvignon blanc, merlot and pinot and much more. Each hotel is about a 5-10 minute stroll through the downtown shopping district. At each location, bring your PCMA badge to receive a stamp on your passport when you purchase wine from the Passport to Northwest Wine menu. Visit all seven hotels and drop off your completed card by the final General Session on January 16 to enter to win Grand Prize of 4 mixed cases of WA/OR wine and a wine refrigerator!
