Are you able to find solutions for even the most daunting tasks? Travel to Bell Harbor and embark on a journey of exploration aboard the Odyssey Maritime Museum. During this award-winning, experiential session, put all of your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to the test. In this exciting simulation you will gain experience in developing management and leadership skills in a high-pressure situation! Each group will receive the same list of available resources, then devise and implement a plan while a facilitator evaluates the groups' performances. This incredible experience allows you to learn an entirely new level of team accomplishment by taking responsibility and finding the solutions necessary to save the day – no matter what the obstacles. Pairing food and wine is primarily about flavors – isolating them, maximizing them and combining them. Discover the technique to combine food and fine wine selections to create inspiring pairings. This experiential session at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse will take you on a journey through different "courses" provided by Grand Hyatt Hotel . Discuss important aspects of pairing food and wine with top level chefs and sommeliers and walk away with techniques that will amaze your attendees. Seattle is unofficially known as the "national capital of coffee lovers." Tully's Coffee is a specialty coffee retailer and wholesaler based in Seattle with a focus on serving fine handcrafted coffee. This experiential session will focus on Coffee 101. Discover the background, the selection of beans, and the process of developing gourmet coffee. Also, find out how to order it, when coffee should be refreshed, and when it should be replaced. Witness the roasting of beans in the plant and round out the experience with a discussion and tasting of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Discover how to pair the various coffee blends to complement the palate. Note: Session is limited to the first 60 registrants. Pre-registration and an additional fee are required. Travel to the home of the Seattle Mariners for this experiential session and gain the necessary tools and experience to increase attendance at your next annual meeting. Each team will receive a budget of time and money to implement specific tactics to build attendance. Receive feedback based on choosing the right tactics, in the right order, at the right time. Be careful… it’s not as easy as it sounds – real life examples of attendance decreasing obstacles are also included. Note: Session is limited to the first 90 registrants. Seattle has a beer culture that rivals Belgium, and that is no more evident than when visiting the Micro Brewery Museum. Join this experiential session for tales of ales from ancient Sumeria to modern Seattle. Follow the trail of hops, the seasoning, and natural preservative in beer from the monasteries of the dark ages to Washington's Yakima Valley, America's largest hop producer. After hearing about the raw materials, tour the multi-level Pike Brewery. The interactive gravity flow micro brewery is a perfect place to learn about the brewing process and to understand how top fermenting yeast convert wort to beer. Discuss and taste with your group a variety of beers of different brewing styles, and discover how to taste beer, and pair beer with food. Note: Session is limited to the first 60 registrants.
